Luke Burris

Luke Burris

Head Coach

Hello! My name is Luke Burris and I've been doing Parkour/Freerunning for 8 years. I started doing parkour at 12 years old when a friend of mine asked me to start doing it with him. I never thought I was going to get serious about it, but it quickly became my passion and my escape. I dealt with bad anxiety as a young kid, but parkour soon made it disappear. I began to feel more confident in myself; like the super hero I've always dreamed of being as a kid. Being able to teach my passion is a dream come true. Having the ability to apply your talent to help people with their problems, and to create bonds with them doing the sport is just beautiful. As a coach my goal is to create the most positive and empowering parkour community here in Evansville.

Curtiss Woosley

Curtiss Woosley

Head Coach

Hey there! I'm Curtiss Woosley, coach here at HKNU Parkour. I did some of the basics of parkour in high school and started training at the gym almost 2 years ago. I came back to parkour as an escape from all of the stresses of life and it quickly turned into a passion. I started volunteering and eventually got hired on and it has changed my life. Teaching these athletes, seeing them achieve things they never though possible and seeing the friendships they make here has really made me feel as if I'm doing something with meaning. I strive to help people better themselves both mentally and physically here and hope to build confidence in anyone through our doors.

Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas

Assistant Coach

Hello! My name is Ian, I am 25, an Ivy Tech student, and I am an assistant coach here at HKNU. I've been doing parkour off and on for the past 10 years now, but I never fully dedicated myself till I started training late 2017. As I became more passionate about it, I was given the wonderful opportunity to became a volunteer, and then onto an assistant coach. Doing parkour helps me relax from everyday stress and helps strengthen my body, mind, and soul. Thanks to parkour, I have become exceedingly more confident in the everyday challenges that I face, and I have something to be truly proud of. I couldn't recommend parkour enough, it really will change your life for the better.

Volunteer Coach / HKNU Sponsored Athlete

Hi, my name is Eli Stewart. I am currently 13 years old, and I have been doing parkour for almost 2 years now. Ever since the opening of the gym, parkour has definitely been the most intriguing sport I have ever done. The gym has a great atmosphere of friendly kids and amazing coaches that teach you new things everyday. I have recently became a volunteer, which is a great opportunity for me to teach the new Traceurs different skills and tricks. I enjoy this sport so much, and would highly recommend it!
